Chuck Ream’s FBI files date from 1969-1972 related to his “involvement” with Student’s for a Democratic Society (SDS), Western Michigan University’s protest activities and articles and later his “involvement” with the Human Rights Party and Youth Liberation Front. In 1975 Chuck initiated a request for a copy of those files under the Freedom of Information Act. After an initial denial and a few years the FBI finally sent him much redacted copies. Below are copies of the files he received as well as some commentary by Chuck in response to some of the “information” contained in the files.
