In 2005 Scio Township included on the ballot a proposal for a Giant Jail. Chuck, a Scio Township Trustee, was vehemently opposed to the ballot proposal for many reasons documented below. He campaigned diligently and the local papers gave voice to that campaign. Voters rejected the proposal at the polls.
